I set aside a quiet afternoon checking the richer colors I have worn for years. My quick conclusion was that Deep Winter was the obvious answer for me. Still, charcoal sweaters can look polished while the deepest black shirts can seem overly severe. I tried looking at my usual navy, gray, plum, and espresso pieces in daylight. The daylight check made me see why a single label is only a starting point. I also bookmarked this color analysis since it suggested questions instead of declaring one fixed result. Now I am leaning toward colors that feel deep but do not overpower my features. Has anyone else noticed that black works differently from navy in the same palette? I am deliberately leaving bright lipstick, dramatic jewelry, and online quizzes out of this first comparison. Those may be useful later, but right now I only need a repeatable view of familiar clothing in ordinary daylight. A few careful notes feel more useful than a dramatic makeover or a rushed decision about every future purchase.
